Great Barrier Reef Foundation
Creating a media-ready package for a national announcement
Some projects aren't created for a single audience. They're created so many different audiences can tell the same story.
Ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, the Great Barrier Reef Foundation unveiled Machine One, a breakthrough semi-automated coral restoration system developed in partnership with McLaren Racing's Accelerator Programme and supporting delivery partners. The announcement represented a major milestone in the partnership, bringing together Formula 1 engineering and marine science to help accelerate reef restoration at scale.
Working to a tight production schedule and a 24-hour delivery deadline, NINJA video house captured interviews, still photography and dynamic B-roll designed for national media distribution. The visual approach deliberately treated Machine One as a technology reveal rather than a traditional conservation story, focusing on precision engineering, performance and the machine in motion.
Rather than producing a traditional finished edit, the priority was creating a media-ready package that could be delivered quickly and adapted for different communication needs. Broadcast-quality footage and still imagery were supplied for national media outreach, while the Great Barrier Reef Foundation also received the complete footage package for its internal team to create additional content across its own channels.
The result was a flexible collection of media assets delivered within twenty-four hours of production, supporting one of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation's most significant technology announcements of the year.
Disclaimer: This edit was produced by the Great Barrier Reef Foundation's internal team using footage captured by NINJA video house alongside footage from additional sources.βCan't thank you enough Pete - this content is so cool :)β
