Imbue Distillery

Bringing a bottle design to life

Some projects don't begin with a detailed creative brief. They begin with an idea and a conversation.

Cut the Tux was one of those projects.

The objective was simple: create a six-second animation that brought the bottle design for Imbue Distillery's new brandy to life while remaining true to the character of the brand.

Working from Nick Heng's label design, we collaborated with long-time creative partner Holly Campbell from Flow Motion Design to translate the static artwork into motion. The challenge wasn't adding more to the design. It was deciding what to preserve as it moved from print to animation.

Small creative decisions become particularly important when there's only six seconds to work with. Every movement needs to feel deliberate and support the personality of the product itself.

The finished animation became a short introduction to the new release, demonstrating how thoughtful motion design can communicate just as much through restraint as it can through movement.
